Teaching Chinese to home shrines, called "Si Shu."
The school expanded and became known as “Hua Wen”. Then Mr Chanatornnitest, the Royal Navy Supervisor gave land to build a school “Shangde” at Dibuk Road.
“Shangde” closed as a result of political reasons during the Chom Phon P. Pibulsonggram period.
After World War 2 the Chinese language school was re-started, named Phuket Zhong Hua School.
Phuket Zhong Hua School closed temporarily to avoid being accused of political involvement. In the same year, a new school was set up with the name " Phuket Thai Hua School"
A new high school “Prasart Wittaya School” opened. It was located in a two-storey building (Cheng-Lien Building) beside Phuket Thai Hua School.
Due to the confined space in its present location, Prasart Wittaya School moved to land belonging to the foundation at Vichitsongkram Road.
The building housing Phuket Thai Hua School had become too cramped. The Alumni Association with support from the Chinese community relations of Phuket, constructed a four-story building situated behind Prasart Wittaya School. The building was named ‘Confederation of Thailand - China Building’.
The two schools Phuket Thai Hua School and Prasart Wittaya School merged and became known as Phuket Thai Hua (Prasart Wittaya) School. There was further construction of school buildings, including sports facilities, libraries, laboratories, etc.
We contacted Huachiew University, Republic of China for cooperation to develop further our Chinese methodology.

The name of school was changed to Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School. To develop the school to attain international standards. Divided into two departments, Primary, for the existing site and Secondary for the newly constructed buildings.
Haichang International School, Xiamen City, People's Republic of China and Phuket Thaihua Asean Wittaya School have signed an education cooperation agreement.
There was a signing ceremony for the establishment of the Huachiew University Student Recruitment Center.
