Phuket thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School1
Year 1911
Teaching Chinese to home shrines, called "Si Shu."

Year 1917
The school expanded and became known as “Hua Wen”. Then Mr Chanatornnitest, the Royal Navy Supervisor gave land to build a school “Shangde” at Dibuk Road.

Year 1941
“Shangde” closed as a result of political reasons during the Chom Phon P. Pibulsonggram period.

Year 1946
After World War 2 the Chinese language school was re-started, named Phuket Zhong Hua School.

Year 1948
Phuket Zhong Hua School closed temporarily to avoid being accused of political involvement. In the same year, a new school was set up with the name " Phuket Thai Hua School"

Year 1959
A new high school “Prasart Wittaya School” opened. It was located in a two-storey building (Cheng-Lien Building) beside Phuket Thai Hua School.

Year 1964
Due to the confined space in its present location, Prasart Wittaya School moved to land belonging to the foundation at Vichitsongkram Road.

Year 1993
The building housing Phuket Thai Hua School had become too cramped. The Alumni Association with support from the Chinese community relations of Phuket, constructed a four-story building situated behind Prasart Wittaya School. The building was named ‘Confederation of Thailand - China Building’.

Year 1999
The two schools Phuket Thai Hua School and Prasart Wittaya School merged and became known as Phuket Thai Hua (Prasart Wittaya) School. There was further construction of school buildings, including sports facilities, libraries, laboratories, etc.

Year 2009
We contacted Huachiew University, Republic of China for cooperation to develop further our Chinese methodology.

Year 2010 (19 November 2010).
Ceremony and signing for cooperation in education for the development of an international school between Phuket Thai Hua (Prasart Wittaya) School and Huachiew University. PRC, named " Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School ".

Year 2011 (13 May 2011).
Foundation ceremony for the new high school construction.

Year 2012
Construction of new school buildings commenced.

Year 2013
The name of school was changed to Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School. To develop the school to attain international standards. Divided into two departments, Primary, for the existing site and Secondary for the newly constructed buildings.

Year 2015 (23 October 2015)
Haichang International School, Xiamen City, People's Republic of China and Phuket Thaihua Asean Wittaya School have signed an education cooperation agreement.

Year 2016 (6 December 2016)
There was a signing ceremony for the establishment of the Huachiew University Student Recruitment Center.

Year 2017
There was an educational cooperation agreement signed between Beijing College of Chinese Language and Culture, the People's Republic of China and Phuket Thaihua Asean Wittaya School.

Year 2018
We connect with Nanyang University of Singapore to develop the English language.

Year 2018
We connect with Xiamen University Malaysia Campus to improve English language and further education.
